Going through Port Angeles avoids all that Seattle traffic, but you have to time it right as there are not as many trips across the sound. But going around the Olympic Peninsula is a much prettier trip.
Ah, I hadn't noticed the previous cat photo (believe it or not, I sometimes skip over them...). Now it makes a lot more sense. Too bad, I was giggling like a schoolgirl thinking you thought a fox was a cat.
Bob, yes, we try and go via Port Angeles whenever possible - it eliminates 60 miles, Seattle traffic, and an hour at the border. Problem is, it doesn't run often in winter, so we couldn't swing it as I had to work 1/2 day. They have started taking limited reservations, which is a huge help.

Great, other than the epic 12 hr car ride to get there. Driving through Seattle on Thanksgiving - never again!
Hope I didn't ruin Caturday for you by pointing out foxes are part of the dog family. That explains why they are so cool.
Driving through Seattle on a normal weekend is a drag, so I can't imagine how crazy it is on a holiday weekend.
