What a difference a week makes!

Gotta love Oregon Summers...One week you're reaching 100+ degrees, and just when you think you can't take any more heat, the next week you're lucky to hit 80 degrees. This is the first time it has rained in I don't know how long, and I can't say I was disappointed at all. I welcomed the break from being out side. I finally got to spend the day inside cleaning...did I really just say that?

It's been tough to keep the upstairs clean. Ever since the weather turned warm, we have been entertaining guests one after the other. Last week we had 20 kids over to swim. Then later that night our friends Scott and Debbie and their kids stayed over for dinner. The next evening our friends Chris and Anne and their kids came over to swim before dinner.

Today I played catch up. I sifted through the closets in our bedrooms where everything has been tossed when company comes. They look decent now, especially after I got rid of 2 paper bags full of my clothes (that no longer fit or I just don't like anymore) I also had to sort through all the piles surrounding our bed (mostly scrapbooking paper, but also school papers, laundry, and misc clutter.) Our bedroom is kind of a catch-all for throwing things when company comes and even though I made it a new year's resolution to keep it clean...it creeps up again until BAM! It's a mess again!

Anyway here are some photos of the pool party with Natalie's kindergarten class:
Including siblings, we had 20 kids over to swim.

Here is Jake sliding onto the turtle floating in the pool.

Here is Natalie with her new suit.

Last weekend, Dan's dad helped drill the concrete and install the fittings for the safety cover.

Here is Zander, always ready to lend a helping hand...like a good cowboy should!

Here is what it will look like when it's done. We still have to install a few more fittings and trim the excess netting.
