If anyone has photos of my kids, I would love to see them...I took a lot of photos, but somehow my own kids weren't in many of them...Eeek!

Happy Easter!
Ever since Dan and I decided to buy this house, I knew I would have many opportunities for entertaining friends and family...it's one of my favorite things to do. The back yard is so beautiful this time of year and it really is the perfect place for a big Easter egg hunt.

This year I started what I hope will be an annual

tradition...weather permitting, of course. Here are some of our photos from the first Ernst Easter Egg Extravaganza that we hosted last Friday (click on the photos to enlarge). We had close to 30 kids/adults. The weather was amazing and all the kids had a blast hunting for eggs. They had so much fun, we hid the eggs twice. We hid about 180 eggs and it didn't take these kids very long to uncover them all. I hid the eggs without any candy inside for 2 reasons...I didn't want to older kids to get more candy that the little ones who didn't find as many eggs and it was really hot that day and anything sitting out in the sun would have melted for sure. Instead, I made up goodie bags (thanks to my SIL Tami for this idea) then everyone got equal amounts of treats. After the hunt we had a potluck. Everything was so tasty and we had a good variety of food to choose from. Thank you to everyone who came and to those that couldn't make it this year, we hope to see you next year!

A beautiful day and lots of fun. Thanks for all the hard work, everyone seemed to ahve a great time, and he kids loved playing together outside.
Everything looks like it turned out so great! I sure wish we could have made it Alyssa! Great job!
Where did you get the idea for those cute bunny tortellinis?
Oh yeah, what was in those tartlets? The pic was so small I couldn't see? Just curious. Everything looked really yummy.
The bunny tortelinis are something I usually make with regular toothpicks holding them together, but this time I found those cute bunny ones and they worked like a charm. The tartlets had lemon curd inside...shhh, don't tell, but I took the photo before I filled them!
You are too stinkin' funny! I won't tell. :-)
In my wedding photos we aren't wearing our rings. I don't know if anyone else notices but I sure do!!!! It still bugs me to this day. Why didn't anyone think of that! We got pics before the ceremony b/c our reception was at the same location and we didn't want to keep everybody including us waiting to celebrate! I really wanted to wait til after but....I think it did work out better. We were able to just relax and visit and have a good time.
What did that have to do with anything???? I dunno. lol
did you make the lemon curd? I love that stuff.
My ring is upside down on our hands close up shot. Oh well!
I didn't make the lemon curd. I either got it at Cost Plus or Trader Joes. It's tasty.
