So, it may not surprise you that I am a blog addict. I take photos of everything to share with you all, because I know you really are interested in seeing every last detail of our vacations played out in a blog post with 53 beach photos!!! It's just like the old days when your neighbor would invite you over to see reel after reel of their slide show to Mt. Rushmore...meanwhile you are drooling on the arm of the couch about to fall asleep at any given minute.Anyway, hope I am not that boring! I know I can take the abuse from those who think I take too many pictures...family and friends laugh at me (lovingly) but it won't stop me...oh, no! I'm very committed to spending my day uploading my life for all to see...who needs to put the laundry away when you can blog about how addicting blogging has become? (Dan need not comment).
Actually my blog is not only therapeutic for me, but it also helps me keep track of what's going on in our lives (for scrapbooking and just plain old reminiscing). That and I love to write...and take pictures, so you are just stuck with me...cause I know you are addicted too!
Thanks for the inspiration Chris...Now you too can take the blogging quiz here.

Where DID you learn to do this! I kind of think that in may be a little inherited. I took the test and I was only 82%, but then I probably have just a little more free time than you do.
I started doing it so that my family in New York, especially my Mother could feel more a part of my life.
Unfortunately I forget,(but then that may be more of a factor of age), more things that I did during the day than I remember, and so mine usually is just a really general wide angle view of my life.
I enjoy hearing and yes seeing what you are up to, even though we are not that far apart, circumstances usually prevent us from getting together more often.
Keep up the good work!
Love ya,
Dad
P.S. Can you tell that I enjoy blogging?
Yes I can tell...I think you are the one who got me started!
17% for me. Perhaps the bigger question is what I was doing on an on-line dating site, Mingle! Ha ha, actually, I just googled Blog addiction and that's what it came up with.
Maybe you could start a Bloggers Anonymous group, and blog your progress.
Now, get back to putting away laundry (you might even inspire Anne hee hee).
Chris
Good idea Chris...I could put away all the laundry and then post a photo of our couch without clothes on it!!!
That was laundry, I always thought that it was a new kind of slip cover!
Ouch!!! both your dad and chris should just be quiet about the laundry! :-) If they dont like it so much, then stop wearing clothes. I swear I get caught up and the next day there is a pile in everyones basket ready to go again! :-)
BTW I am 53% addicted!
Looking forward to tomorrow
Hi Anne, I DO the laundry; wash, dry, fold and put away...I have for years. Why do you ask do I do the laundry...because I like clean clothes and I like to know that the clothes are clean, not have to wonder if the clothes in this pile are clean, dirty or a combination of both.
It only takes me five or ten minutes to fold and put them away and I am usually doing something else while they are washing and drying.
To me the five or ten minutes to fold and put away is nothing compared to the time wasted sorting through piles of clothes to try to find what one is looking for and then wonder if it is clean or not.
I started doing the laundry when the children were small, and then when they got to be teens they got to be responsible for their own laundry.
Dad
That's a good idea...maybe Chris and Dan would like to do the laundry!!! Actually Dan did bring the dirty laundry downstairs, but then I think somehow the clean clothes from the dryer got stuck on top of the dirty clothes in the laundry basket (not by me...I'm just sayin'), so now I have to wash them all over...Maybe that's not such a good idea after all.
That is part of what I was talking about, unless one folds and puts away the clothes when they first come out of the dryer they often get soiled or mixed in with dirty clothes and then they wind up getting washed and dried again...more unnecessary work!
I started doing the laundry, because it was an easy thing for me to do around the house and I really did not interfere with whatever else I was doing.
It really is an easy thing for a guy to do, once they learn the secret of sorting the clothes...that is probably the hardest part.
I have to admit it is harder with young children because even if you fold and put away their clothes frequently when they are looking for something to wear they just pull things out of the draws until they find what they are looking for.
Then when the laundry needs doing there is always the question of whether the clothes on the floor are clean or dirty...and usually they get washed just to be safe.
Good Luck!
Yes we have that problem where they take all the nice folded clothes out of the drawer and toss it where ever. I wouldn't care if it didn't get folded up again if they could at least learn to put it back and close the drawers again. Oh, a mother can dream! Maybe I shouldn't spend so long folding clothes, just kind of pitch them in a big pile according to each kid then shove them in their drawers. That's how they end up anyway.
OK, you guys each need to add 10% to your addiction number after talking so much about laundry.
Bob, you're getting dangerously close to 100%!
Yes it is a sad and boring topic, but soon you will begin to relate when Isaac and Matthew start re-decorating their floor with their clothes...just wait!
Yes, I realized that I was reaching my limit so I had to take a trip to IKEA...Almost six hours later and I feel much better now!
Okay, now you are making me jealous! I just threw another load of laundry in and you are getting sucked into the shopping vortex that is IKEA! I haven't been since they opened. I was going to go on my birthday, but I think it will have to wait a little while longer. So...what did you get?
I did not get anything, but your mother managed to find a couple lamps, a stove top griddle, a drink stirrer(?) a new clock for the upstairs bathroom and at this point that is all I can think of.
Word to the wise; DO NOT take the children, we saw too many children running around or just plain screaming because they were really bored and it takes a long time just to go through let alone stop and really look at things.
We've taken them to the IKEA in Seattle, but we stick them in the free daycare there. Sadly, it's only for one hour, but the kids love it in there. Then when we pick them up, they act interested in shopping for about 1/2 an hour then they are ready to go. I think it's just cruel to bring kids on a long shopping trip otherwise.
Mmmmm, fresh laundry... smells so good and keeps you warm, too. Nowadays, we have this huge washer and dryer but don't really have much laundry - two rather small loads every week or two - plus towels, etc. I can get our king-sized quilt in it so it isn't like it is wasted on us geezers.
I do think kids need to learn how to do their own, at least by high school. Unfortunately, if you don't whip them into shape before that, they may think that their laundry and carpeting is the same thing.
Ikea - from two to six-thirty. It took two and a half hours upstairs, then we ate with another couple who were from Troutdale by way of Montana and Minnesota. She said she had driven over that collapsed bridge many times. We had a nice chat - she is Norwegian so it was especially nice.
By the time we got out to the car I felt like I was ready to sit for a very long time. It was the worst when we got home from that long 2.2 mile ride. I had relaxed just enough so that by the time I pulled into the driveway I felt like I needed to peel myself from my seat.
