This morning my sister Andrea gave birth to a not so little, but very handsome baby boy. Brandon Mason Cimino weighs 9 lb, 15 1/2 oz. It's a good thing Andrea had him by C-section because, not only was he breech and a big baby, but the umbilical cord was tied in a knot around his neck. He was having trouble breathing, so for the first few hours of his life he was resting under an oxygen bubble. If he was born "naturally," there's a good chance he could have died. I got to the hospital with the kids just as they were taking the oxygen apparatus off of him. I got to walk with him to Andrea's room. She is doing good...for someone who just had a major surgery. I guess the spinal block didn't work after two times, so they had to put her completely asleep. When she finally got to spend time with Brandon, he nursed for a half an hour!
We are so thankful he is healthy! Praise God!!!
Andrea is going to be a great mommy.

Congrats!
What a beautiful bouncin' baby boy!!!
Glad everyone is doing well!
Brandon has a very nice full head of hair!
What a cutie, tell your sis congrats. He looks like his dad! (from what I can remember) :-) That is sooooo exciting, I am glad it all turned out good, God was watching over them!
He really does look like his dad. I think it's his mouth...and the dark hair.
Minor correction - this little boy wasn't a little 9 lb, 11 oz, he weighed in at 9 lb, 15 1/2 oz - and was only 19 3/4" long. He is 1/4" longer and 2 lb, 4 1/2 oz longer than Andrea was. It is wonderful that he had a safe arrival - it could have ended very differently.
Mom to 4, Grandma to 6 wiggly ones
I'm not sure where I got 9 lbs, 11 oz. I heard that from someone when I got to the hospital and it just stuck with me.
Can't wait to see him in person! He is a handsome little guy.
