Choir Boy
This afternoon, Zander had his Fall program and "feast." Both three year old classes sang some fun Thanksgiving and Turkey related songs. Zander knew the songs really well and did great with all the hand motions. I can't get over how well he is doing with school. He had such a big smile on his face at times and other times he was serious and concentrating on the words. Nothing cuter than little kids' music programs.

Speaking of kids and programs - last year when Hunter was in preschool they had a Christmas program with all kinds of singing, instruments (sticks, tambourines) and a little play. Ok, well all the weeks prior to the program Hunter would practice the songs and the little percussion thing. He seemed so excited and pumped up for it.
Fast Forward to the evening of the program...
NOT HAPPENING!
He got one look at Grandma and that was it, he wanted to sit by her and basically teared up b/c he couldn't at that time. So, Shawn took him out to quiet him and try to pump him back up about the program. His teacher who is so wonderful BTW took him by the hand and went up next to him on the stage. Well, from that point on Hunter who knew all the hand motions, who knew all the words to the songs stubbornly hung his head and sniffled and eventually turned completely around with his back to every one. Every once in a while he'd turn his head and give Grma a pathetic and dramatic pout. It was pretty sad and of course I was a little disappointed b/c I expected to see my normally animated son up there having a great time. After a while Shawn leaned over to me and asked, should we even be recording this? It was pretty sad. After his class was finished his teacher picked him up and took him back to his classroom with the rest of the class for activites but all the way out he was crying, " I want Grandma!"
Ahhhh...memories! LOL :-)
Are any of your kids clingy to grandparents?
Gotta love em...so unpredictable! Last month, Natalie had a fall program and I sat there recording it as she proceeded to pick her nose during every song. Every program must have a nose picker and this just happened to be our turn.
