Tip-Toe Through the Tulips

Today my friend Debbie and I and our kids all drove down to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn. I had always wanted to go see all the tulips everyone was talking about. They are truly a beautiful sight to see. We were so lucky and thankful that we didn't get rained on. We timed it just right too, because the rain started just as we were leaving.

How fun! We have done this before a couple of times with the kids and just had a great time. So glad you were able to enjoy the tulips without the rain!
Did they have the cow train going?

They did have the cow train going, but the combination of 5 ansy kids and a bit of wind picking up at the time...(plus we didn't want to wait in line)...just didn't seem worth it this time.

Ah-ha. Totally understand! You know what's funny... (and I can say this b/c I also have 3 kids) is when I first saw the photo of all the kids walking thru the tulips I totally thought that it was a field trip or something! Ha! B/c of all the kiddos. :-) funny. But, nope it was just two friends and their kids in tow tuling around in the tulips. :-)
One time Sophie, Tracy and I went to Red Robin and between the 3 of us gals there are 7 kids. We were nuts, I mean... what were we thinking? Totally outnumbered but it was discussed after that we would just go to one of our houses next time and order in! lol

I was kind of going bonkers trying to keep the kids in line. They, the boys, kept running off. Hayden slipped in a juicy mud puddle, then as we were leaving I wanted to get another photo of Zander in front of red tulips. Just as I was positioning him, he reached around and grabbed a tulip and pulled it right out of the dirt, bulb and all. I was really starting to lose my cool. Fortunately, I re-planted it and I think it will be okay. Right about then it started to sprinkle, so we called it a day...and went to McDonald's for lunch.

Sheesh, what does a girl have to do to get good scrapbooking photos these days!!!
