Last night as we were getting the kids in bed, Hayden decided he was going to play chase as he wasn't ready to go to bed yet. I don't know how it happened exactly, I just know that when I walked out of the bathroom, I heard him start to fall down the stairs. I got there in time to watch him tumble head over feet about 4 times until he stopped at the bottom. It was horrifying because I couldn't get down fast enough to stop him from falling. He just kept rolling down the stairs...every mother's worst nightmare. Well he was crying and his nose was bleeding, but he calmed down rather quickly, so I knew he would be okay. Then when I started to get his pajamas on, he wanted to play peek-a-boo with me which is always a good sign.
Anyway, Zander wanted to comfort him and offered to snuggle with him in his crib. Something he has never asked to do before...so I said okay, thinking they would probably end up annoying each other and neither one would get to sleep and I would eventually end up telling Zander to get back in his bed. Well, after 15-20 minutes, I went in to check on them and they were both sound asleep. It was too cute!

I love it. Kids surprise us in wonderfully unexpected ways. Give them all a hug from me. G'ma R
That is the sweetest picture! I love it. When you were describing the "falling down the stairs" I was taken back to a memory of myself falling down stairs when I spent the night and my aunt and uncles. They took me to visit some of their friends and the kids had asked me to get something off the shelf in this closet..well it was not a closet...it was the door to the basement...so I had opened the door to this dark "closet" stepped forward to reach up to the shelf infront and went straight down the stairs..total nightmare.
What a nightmare Alyssa! We have stairs too and it just freaks me out sometimes just thinking about the what ifs. We have tile at the bottom of our stairs. Ugh, don't wanna think about it.
I am so so glad that he is ok. Poor little guy. I'll bet you were just beside yourself.
What a sweet sweet photo of your boys! OMG!! Zander has such a gentle heart.
