Could it be Genetic?

This photo will probably only have significance to my parents. Can you believe this...I was completely amazed when I walked into Natalie's room and saw this on the floor. You see, when I was a kid and my parents were away, I used to take an outfit from their drawers and lay it out on their bed, in position just as if they were laying there. Then I would draw a face on paper for each of my parents, (using my mom's make-up, I think). I would put the faces in place and then using yarn or something similar I would craft some hair. I have no idea why I did this, so you can imagine my surprise when I find my own daughter doing the exact same thing. I know this is a weird thing for me to share, but I couldn't resist.

Hee hee hee hee - ok, you laugh on the computer. I have got to find the pictures I took of one of Alyssa's originals - or do I still have a face??? Do you have any idea of what year to try so I might have some luck at finding it? A quick look found several pictures with your long fingers covering your face and one with your hood pulled completely shut - and you're such a cutie!! At least you smiled after you got your wisdom teeth pulled. Get me out of the picture boxes....
Anyway, I couldn't imagine such a fun coincidence between mom and daughter.
Love, Mom
I think I was probably 9-10...but I really don't remember how old I was.
Well you were old enough for me to remember, so you had to have been older than that. But I do recall this happening more than once. Didn't one time dad have braces on his picture... and mom's hair was always that left over brown yarn from Toni's homemade cabbage patch doll... Right!!! Ha ha ha
Seeing that photo took me back about twenty-five years. I had to read what you wrote before I realized that it was not one of your creations.
I do not think that you got that from me...
