Before Christmas I went out to dinner with my girlfriends and we decided it would be fun to all go out to dinner for Valentine's day. We talked about the Meltintg Pot fondue restaurant, but then we changed our minds when we saw the Marrakesh was in the Entertainment book!

What can be more fun than sitting on pillow stools, eating with your hands, with belly dancers and funny waiters to entertain?
We had a great time. The kids stayed over with Grandma and we got to go back in time to a world before kids where you could have grown-up conversations, stay out late, go to the store on a whim (and in a timely manner too) with out car seats, 5-point harnesses and an arsenal of diapers. Ahhh...it was nice while it lasted!Dan got me roses and a sugar free truffle!!! I made him this.

"...world before kids..." That's absolutely a perfect description! It was weird but wonderful coming home without the kids. We slept in until about 8am! That's one for the record book! When are we doing this again??? Very addictive, and very fun!
It looks like you had a great time. It was - and still is - wonderful to have every one of you but I definitely cherished a little island of nothing once in a while when you were small. There will be a time all too soon when every night will be just you and Dan. It can be quite pleasant but it probably won’t be as sweet as those stolen moments are now.
My mom offered babysitting like that once a month, here's crossing our fingers!
