Even though we didn't get any new snow, there was still enough on the ground for another sled ride. Smokey took the kids on an adventure in the pasture and then gave them a ride all the way home.

As they pass through the gate, you can see our house in the distance, just beyond the snow topped out building.

Wow! I never thought I would ever see the day where there was a horse in my front yard.

Hi Linda,
Weird that it posted as "mom," thanks for clarifying in the email you sent. Last week was challenging as far as sleep goes. It's amazing how things fall apart when you don't get enough. Things like getting up to get Natalie to school on time were monumental tasks for me. So far this week we haven't had any school, so I have caught up a little.
Anyway, good to hear from you. By the way, how often do you get snow/ice in Texas? Pretty rare I would think.
I am guite jealous of your "country life" what wonderful pictures and memories for the kids. We have been out sledding all morning. I figured I paid $25 for a sled yesterday I better get another day out of it, because who knows when we willg et snow again! :-)
How fun! Your house looks so great with all the snow....and....the horse! :-) What a wonderful winter wonderland you've got!
Did you get a ride on the sled?? Mommy's gotta have fun too...teehee
No, I didn't get a ride. The pony is 20 years old and pretty much just hauls the kids around. Would have been fun though.
