For each mug you will need
2-3 tablespoons of hot cocoa
hot water
1 candy cane
whipped cream
I like to make this to use up all those candy canes we seem to have left over after Christmas. I think you can figure this one out, but just in case, here is how I put it all together.
I crush the candy cane, while still in the wrapper. I put the whole thing in a ziplock bag an crush it with a meat tenderizer/mallet. Then I add about a teaspoon to the cocoa mix, add water, whipped cream and another teaspoon of crushed peppermint on top. Yummy!
Other things that are especially yummy in hot cocoa:
Cinnamon (Mexico style) is so tasty
Hazelnut flavored creamer (instead of whipped cream)
A drop or two of almond or coconut extract (almond joy goodness)
Don't forget about mini marshmallows
Flavored instant coffee

Thanks...I used a snowflake decoration to put the mugs on and it gives a nice backdrop of sorts.
