Here we are ready for our surprise night out with the girls.

Mickey and Minnie help get the show started.

Here are Belle and
Lumiere singing the "Be our Guest" number.

Hi-Ho, Hi Ho...it's off to work we go...

During intermission, Natalie and Sarah both noticed special packages were left for them. Natalie knew right away that it was from Ariel. You can see more pictures on my Paper Capers blog
here.

Natalie cheered as her favorite princess, Ariel skated out onto the ice with Flounder.

It was hard to get a really good picture during this show as the lights were pretty low most of the time and the skaters were moving around so much. I did manage to get a few good ones (from the 100+ I took). I can't wait to see how my sister -in -law Tami's pictures turned out...she was in the 8
th row!!! We were at the bottom of the 200 level, so our seats were great for seeing all the action, but not so good for picture taking. That didn't stop me from trying though. I could hear Dan's voice in my head "put that camera down and enjoy the show." ...but
this is how I enjoy the show...through the
lens of my camera!

Cinderella makes her entrance to the ball in her pumpkin coach.

Mickey and Minnie, now in their formal wear, get ready for the
finale.

For the
finale, Tinkerbell rode away in the
chariot surrounded by all the princes and princesses, Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

The End.

When the show was all over, cousins Becca and Alexis came over to say hi and give hugs.

Warning...Stay FAR, FAR AWAY from HERE!!!

How did you get such clear pics? Must be your awesome camera! I tried. I haven't uploaded them yet, so we'll see!
We had a wonderful time too! We were in the 100 level near the corner where Ariel got on her rock and was flipping her tail. Also where the Sea Witch was stirring her spell and where Ariel was signing the scroll. We were about halfway up. Looks like you were on the other side.
Yes, all that merchandise was insanely spendy! I did get Hailey a Little Mermaid doll for $10 bucks, that is also her favorite princess. Everytime Ariel went away she was asking for her. She even pouted at one point b/c she wanted to know "where's my Ariel?" It blessed me so much to see her dancing, clapping, waving, etc.! Oh, what a "Ball" we had!
Glad to see you had a magical time too!
I went with Natalie when she was 3 or 4 (I don't think she remembers) but she was spinning around in front of her seat too. I don't think she really sat down all night.
This time was great because we had been to Disneyland this year and she was so in love with all things princess. She wanted to know if she was going to meet them later and didn't understand why we couldn't just go back and say "hi."
The $10 Ariel doll is what Natalie REALLY wanted, but I just couldn't buy it. She already has so many Ariel toys and with her birthday right around the corner I wanted to make sure not to get her too many "extras." It was hard to say no, but it was a good lesson for her at this age.
You are right, we were just on the other corner from you. I tried to get picures of Ariel when she was on the rock thingy, but none of them turned out.
But how did you get such clear and bright photos?? Is it the quality of camera perhaps? I had troubles getting a bright shot, mine were mostly dark. Bummer.
Trust me I have a ton of dark photos too, but somehow, due to the quantity of photos I took, I ended up with a lucky few that turned out clear. If you look, you will see the characters are mostly surrounded by bright spotlights. All the pictures I took where the princesses were skating with their princes (not shown on my blog) are pretty dark and mildly out of focus.
Did Dan get to go? Did he wear a pretty princess costume? I couldn't afford it this time around, what with the Hannah Montana tickets and all.
Lokoyan,
I can see that you are bummed that you couldn't go see the Princesses on Ice and this saddens me. What if I promise to come over next week with Natalie and Sarah and you and Isaac can play pretty, pretty princess together. I bet that will cheer you up in no time!
Wow, I didn't know Isaac likes Hannah Montana...or are the tickets just for you and Anne?
While Ariel was skating with Price Eric, Sarah leans over and asks, "Would you like it if Daddy could pick you up like that?"
First of all, Ariel was as limber as Gumby. And second, Eric was lifting her over his head with one hand! "If Daddy and I tried that, we'd both be in traction for awhile!!!"
I'd pay to see that! I have only been ice skating once and I'm pretty sure that I'm enough trouble for myself without having to hold someone else up like that.
When Prince Eric came out for the first time, Natalie was swooning!!! She has a major crush on him...so funny!
Disney is so smart! Before Ariel came out, I couldn't figure who these other girls were. Then I realized they were Ariel's sisters!
Alyssa: Didn't you say at the Disney store they're totally marketing a whole Ariel line now using her sisters?
One hand feeds the other!
yep, I think she has at least 6 sisters...and you know you can't just buy one of them, right! Wrong! I don't think they will find there way into our home.
