Yesterday was Dan's birthday. I arranged to have friends meet us at Red Lobster for dinner. While we were waiting to be seated, the kids got an up close look at a live lobster.
Including our family, there was Chris, Anne, Isaac, Matthew, Kyle, Melissa, Angel and Jenny. It was fun getting out for a change.
Anyway, for Dan's birthday I made him a photo book from iphoto with pictures from our anniversary trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. This was my first hard cover book and I think it turned out great.
Dan ordered the Lobster and Crab platter and I had the Blackened Halibut...the kids of course had mac and cheese. Some people think the body is 98% water, but if you were to take a sample from my kids, they would find out that they are 98 % mac and cheese. We don't have it at home that much, but they sure love to order it when we go out to eat.

That was a lot of fun! The kids had a good time, and don't tell anyone about ISaac spitting into the Lobster tank! :-)
Happy Birthday, Dan. For some weird reason, I have been convinced for years that your birthday is June 6th. I'm sorry it took so long to sort this out. Andrea was saying that both she and Toni (and I) talked to you and completely spaced out about it. They/we felt so bad.
Don't you love that book? It came while Bob and I were there and Alyssa gave us a sneak peek. Natalie and Zander were fascinated with the photos - especially of the two of you parasailing over the water.
Did they keep the 'secret'? I told them that they needed to not talk to you about the book because it was a SuRpRiSe for your birthday. They seemed to think they could do that.

I had a great time on my B-day. Thanks Alyssa! It started with a mocha and snack, and ended with a great meal with friends, and a great gift from Alyssa. An excellent day!
